Springin' Out a Shark!

A while back, Marlin encountered a Tiger Shark Mini named Riptide; her hunger and ferocity were so great, the ensuing battle between her and Naph ended with Riptide getting arrested, and Marlin losing his job. Yet, after seeing Riptide battle, Marlin was driven to become her Trainer despite the dangers. To release Riptide from prison though, he needed to prove to the precinct that he was skilled enough...and back then, he definitely wasn't. He left the remorseful Riptide a promise: once he was stronger, he'd take her in.

Fast forward to present day, and Marlin had grown significantly. After becoming a Mini breeder and learning all sorts of things helping Minis grow and find new Trainers, Marlin had brought together his own larger band of Minis- and with all of that on his record, was able to release a now-reformed Riptide from prison. Riptide had grown quite attached to him during his regular visits, and when she was finally free, she burst into tears, happily accepting Marlin as her Trainer.

Riptide now resides with Marlin's team, aiding him in maintaining Kathleen's Day Care! Kathleen herself was understandably apprehensive when it came to having Riptide work around children, but being pre-trained in prison has helped this Tiger Shark cut back on her primal urges. In the end, Kathleen looked past Riptide's record if it meant employing a big, strong Mini who was willing to work!
